Upcoming Events

May 27, 2010 - Wales Board Meeting

Where: Greene Township Municipal Building

When: 7:00pm

New Board members for 2010 - 2011 season.

Members of the club were asked to submit a form, with minimal personal

information, and a chance to earn $10 per member (max of $1,500.00 per club)

and Wales fell just short of the max with a $1,450.00 donation from Ski-Doo.

Thank you to all members that submitted the form as this was easy money for

the club.  Congratulations to Corry for being the number one in the state

and collecting the max $1,500 (Wales was number two).

Food Pantry donations were collected and the final was a donation

of $350.00 from club members which gets matched by General Electric, dollar for dollar,

which makes the total collection $700.00 dollars.  The Food Pantry can buy $17.00

worth of food with every $1.00 donated, that means that with our donations

we are able to provide the Food Pantry with $11,900 worth of food which gets

distributed to local residents.

Safety Course

Hi there, The Wales Sno-Drifters club just wanted to get the word out that

if there is enough interest, the Corry snowmobile club is willing to teach a snowmobile

safety class in the Erie area. If you know of any riders between the ages of 10-16

that need their safety class, please contact Chuck Thompson at (814) 881-5854. If

there is enough interest, he hopes to have a class sometime in January 2010. Happy

snowmobiling to all! -T. Bowers

Boardwalk Inn has expressed a real interest in having more sleders

stop by and we hope to have an official trail going to the Boardwalk Inn

 by next  season.

If you have a business that you want an official trail to,

just let us know and maybe we can make it happen.  If you are

not on the trail system or anywhere near it but want to support

the sport of snowmobiling, just let us know and we'll be happy to

talk to you about how we can work together to promote both your

business and the sport of snowmobiling.

Trail updates - There has been much work on trail improvements

and bridges this summer to Moon Meadows.

We can also accommodate group functions and will offer additional discounts as well

as provide use of our pavilion facilities (and we'll stoke up the bonfire to keep things

warm while you are out riding).
